Using textiles, printing and mixed media, I encourage learning and confidence in an art group or community development setting. I focus on the pleasure and enjoyment of being creative and making the most of – and finding beauty in – errors and mistakes; encouraging confidence in the use of different materials and a “what happens if?” approach.

My workshops and classes can be tailored to the requirements of most groups, from day workshops to weekly classes. They can focus purely on learning or can be used as part of the community development process, bringing people together and creating common ground. My employment background is in social care and community development and my classes are easily adapted to suit the needs of people with various social care needs, such as learning disabilities, mental ill health or dementia.

Classes can be mixed and matched and tailored to the needs of the group. They are suitable for serious learning, for location inspired community projects/celebrations or just for fun!
